Art Deco armchairs by Halabala for Up Zavody 1930s
Iconic and rare armchairs produced in 1930s design attributed by Jindrich Halabala for UP Zavody in Brno. The armchairs H-70 model are iconic for their unique design and comfort. The oak wood construction with bentwood creates the frame of the armchairs on which the new spring seat mattress sit. These particular armchairs underwent the complete restoration process. The chair has a unique system for backrest which uses a metal, steel rod with chrome finish which can be removed and put into a different position. The seat cushions and backrest have been reupholstered and redone with new light cadmium yellow fabric with texture. The armchairs are in excellent condition. Their timeless style, comfort and elegant lines never fail to impress even 80 years later.
