Restored Congresso modular metal bookcase LIPS VAGO 1970s, set of 2
Distinguish your living room with a curated design that tells your story. This pair of 1970s Congresso metal bookcases by LIPS VAGO, brings the perfect blend of raw industrial edge and sophisticated mid-century character directly into your home.
Far from predictable shelving, this set stands out with its structural flexibility. Built with an integrated track-and-notch system along the heavy-duty metal frame, it allows you to arrange, configure, and height-adjust the shelving to your precise aesthetic needs. One unit comes with 5 shelves and the other with 4 shelves, offering a striking, asymmetrical display layout when placed side-by-side.
Every single detail has been meticulously preserved. The set has undergone a flawless restoration back to its incredibly rare, original bluette (electric cornflower blue) colorway, a vibrant hue that instantly creates a focal point in neutral, minimal, or contemporary interiors. To guarantee absolute historical authenticity, the units are held together by their original industrial hardware, featuring the distinct Lips Vago logo stamped directly onto the screws. Ready to use!
Care & Maintenance Guide
Daily Cleaning: Simply wipe down the powder-coated metal surfaces with a clean, dry microfiber cloth to keep dust away.
Deep Cleaning: If needed, use a soft cloth lightly dampened with lukewarm water and a drop of pH-neutral soap. Always dry the surface immediately with a soft towel to prevent water spots or moisture retention.
What to Avoid: To protect the rare bluette finish, never use abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh chemical solvents (such as bleach or ammonia), which can scratch or dull the industrial coating.
