Mid-Century Italian design modular teak wall unit / bookshelf 1950s
This mid-century modular wall unit from the 1950s is a refined example of Italian craftsmanship and functional design. The system features black lacquered vertical uprights with internal extensions, supported by adjustable brass feet for a perfect fit in different spaces.
The modular elements, crafted in teak veneer, include 13 shelves for books or decorative objects and a module with drawer which, if desired, can be transformed into a functional desk by positioning it higher up. The shelves and modules are suspended and anchored with solid brass pins, ensuring both strength and a refined aesthetic detail, elegance with functionality.
For greater stability and versatility, the unit is equipped with four wall brackets, allowing safe installation and adaptability even in rooms with higher ceilings. A conservative restoration has been carried out, enhancing the warm tones of the teak veneer while preserving the authenticity and charm of the original mid-century design.
